Troubleshooting - Why don't I see any students when I log into the CMTS Logon?
If you log into the CMTS Logon program and no students are visible, there are only two causes:

  1. You haven't entered any students in the CMTS
  2. You have two logins (one as a lab manager and one as an administrator)

If no students are visible when you log into the CMTS Logon program AND there are no students visible when you go into the CMTS Admin either, then there are no students in the system and you'll need to enter them.  Check out How To - Add/Edit/Delete Students in the Content Mastery Tracking System for more information on adding/ediing/deleting students.

However, if you can see students when you log into the CMTS Admin, but those students are not visible when you log into the CMTS Logon program, it means that you have two logins into the CMTS.  Lab managers are the only users that should be using the CMTS Logon program (because that login is specific to a lab or campus).  If an admin user logs into the CMTS Logon program, they WON'T see any students, because the administrator is tied to the entire district and no students are assigned to the "entire district" campus.

In most cases, this isn't an issue (since the administrator is usually not also serving as a lab manager).  However, in many cases, we have customers with just one lab in the district (therefore that user will have a lab manager logon, i.e. JSMITH@MYSCHOOL.COM and also an administrator logon, i.e. JSMITH_ADMIN@MYSCHOOL.COM).  If you have two logins, you MUST use your lab manager login to properly use the CMTS Logon program.
